OK, Started going there when they opened back in 04' watched it go down hill since then. How the current status? Is it still a "season" thing where the property owners take back over so they hunt? If so, what months out of the year will you guys be open? I assume it's still the main trail system that's been there, which is awesome, but is it maintained? Also, what's the cost? Excited to see someone is giving it another run!
So, last i saw...this is as of 6 mo ago or so, they are open every weekend nearly unless there is an event and in some cases the owner/managers have it closed for hunting. So definitely call before you haul. After talking to the managers, the owner had previously had it managed buy a guy (here after called "ol boy"). so ol boy didnt really do that good of a job and then started charging people money for annual hunting memberships, to which the owner was unaware of. ol boy was also doing charging more for riding i think...pocketing the excess. He was let go and the new managers have really spruced up the place. on of them owns a landscaping company and got his guys out there and trimmed a bunch of vegetation from the trails. i have never encountered any blocked trails or anything like that so it is well kept in my opinion. the "track" is kinda weird as its kinda all over the place and really tight almost like arena cross or somethin. i hope that answers the question...even if i am a tad late
Love Sunnyside. Kurt and Jim are awesome and they maintain the trails regularly. This is one of our favorite places to ride. durhamtown has tracks but their trails suck and are not maintained. We always have a blast here and come as often as we can. Definitely worth the trip.
